In most cases, you will be asked to schedule a 30-minute new client consultation for which there is no charge before beginning sessions.
I accept some insurance for clients in South Carolina. For those with insurance I do not accept, I provide a monthly superbill that can be submitted to insurance for reimbursement.
Payment is done through Ivy Pay, a secure app designed for therapist payments. During your new client consultation, you will be asked to share your mobile number. On the day of your first appointment, you will receive a text prompting you to set up your account with Ivy Pay.
Subsequent appointments will be billed on the morning of the appointment. Please note that cancellations require 24 hours notice. Appointments can be canceled via email. In the event of a cancellation, I may or may not be able to reschedule within the same week depending on availability.
Therapists can only provide therapeutic services for clients who are located in a state where that therapist holds an active license to practice. I am licensed to provide therapeutic services in these two states.
Email communication, videoconferencing, and documentation are done using Google Workspace's HIPAA-compliant software. I also use additional encryption for email. Calls and texts are also encrypted by Google. Still, no system is perfect, and I encourage clients to use their own encryption software as well.
All communications are private and are treated with the same level of confidentiality as therapy sessions. A thorough description of confidentiality will be provided and discussed in preparation for the beginning of services as part of the informed consent process.
