Men's mental health has largely been overlooked. Many men are now finding pieces of what they need in podcasts and other media. While there are helpful offerings in digital media, there is no substitute for quality therapeutic and/or coaching services. Jeremy believes in building men up in a world that often focuses on the toxic traits of masculinity and patriarchy. He is passionate about working with men who want to better their lives.
Seeking counseling or coaching can be a significant step in taking responsibility for our lives. This acceptance of responsibility and commitment to self-examination can reveal a greater sense of confidence and capability than was previously known.
Many have internalized the idea that embracing masculinity is damaging to romantic relationships and marriages. The opposite can be true. If we earnestly examine what masculinity is and what its value may be, we can come away with an understanding that benefits all our relationships. For example, the aspects of service and courage inherent in healthy masculinity can be of immense value.
Unlike therapy, coaching does not involve diagnosing or treating a mental health diagnosis. If a client engaged in coaching has a current mental health diagnosis, they may need to see a therapist either in addition to or instead of coaching services. Referrals to therapists are made according to client's needs.
Men's Coaching may address the following areas and more:
For those clients located in the states of South Carolina or Georgia, the areas listed above can be addressed in the context of individual therapy that also incorporates the treatment of a mental health diagnosis. As with all services, Jeremy is rooted in curiosity and respect with a desire to understand the client as fully as possible. If you're a man wanting to improve your mental health, your relationships, and your overall sense of self, please contact us.
